Victims in Doe B. shooting file lawsuits

Surviving victims in the shooting that killed rising rapper Doe B. are taking aim at the nightclub where the incident occurred.

According to the "Montgomery Advertiser," four people who were shot during the incident have filed lawsuits against the Centennial Hill Bar & Grill and its owners.  All of the suits allege that members of a security company hired for Doe B.'s concert were bribed into allowing weapons into the club.

The defendants are seeking unspecified damages for their injuries and suffering.  One of the victim's attorneys is also representing the family of Timnorius Hamilton, who was killed in the December 28th incident.  They are reportedly planning to file a wrongful death lawsuit.

After Doe B.'s shooting, Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange shut down the nightclub because of a string of violent episodes there.  Since then the owner of the building has also announced plans to put the structure up for sale.  Two men have been arrested and charged with capital murder for the shooting.
